Meatball benefit
Alpha Phi Omega and Kappa Kappa Gamma of UC Merced along with the Merced High School Associated Student Body presents the film “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” from 6 to 9 p.m. April 8, a dinner event in the cafeteria at Merced High School, 1900 G St. It benefits the Rivera Elementary School’s new library. Motorcycle run
The Atwater Kiwanis Club and Blue Star Moms of Merced plan the 11th annual motorcycle ride called Veterans Memorial Support the Troops Run at 10 a.m. April 9. Editors of Merced College’s Merced River Literary Review are accepting submissions of poems, short stories, flash fiction, short plays, artwork and creative nonfiction.
