Second Saturdays
Performers with Hip Hop and More are part of the Merced County Office of Education and Merced Multicultural Arts Center’s latest Second Saturday offering at 10:30 a.m. April 9 at the center’s Black Box Theatre, 645 W. Main St. The group is part of Merced’s Building Young Leaders performing arts program. Cost is $3 for children; adults attend for free. For more, call 209-388-1090.
Onramp closure
As part of a state Department of Transportation utility work project, the Atwater Boulevard onramp to southbound Highway 99 will be closed 9 p.m. Monday through 5 a.m. Tuesday. For more information, call KRC Safety Co. Inc. at 559-732-0393.
LB Street Faire
The Los Banos Chamber of Commerce’s annual Downtown Spring Street Faire begins at 8:30 a.m. April 9 along Sixth Street in Los Banos. More than 80 vendors will sell crafts, antiques, jewelry, food and face painting, to name a few offerings. For more information, call the chamber at 209-826-2495.
No-kill shelter benefit
The Merced SPCA art and bake sale is 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday at the shelter, 1021 E. Childs Ave. Food and raffle drawings are planned. Proceeds benefit the no-kill shelter. The Merced SPCA membership meeting is 6 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, 500 Buena Vista Drive in Merced. Green Tour
The seventh annual Green Tour is 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the home of Jean Okuye, 10181 Olive Ave. in Livingston. It will cover drought-tolerant gardening, a tour of the straw-bale house and information on local solar companies. The University of California Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners and East Merced Resource Conservation District will be on hand. A local-foods dinner at 5:30 p.m. is available by reservation only. Plant giveaway
A free plant “Give & Take” will be at 9 a.m.-noon April 9 at the St. Patrick’s Church parking lot, 671 E. Yosemite Ave. Hosted by the Merced Colony Grange and St. Patrick’s Church, master gardeners will be available to answer questions. There is no cost. For more information, call 209-383-3808.
Belly dance fitness

Meatball benefit
Alpha Phi Omega and Kappa Kappa Gamma of UC Merced along with Merced High School Associated Student Body will present “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” from 6-9 p.m. April 8, a dinner event in the cafeteria at Merced High School, 1900 G St. It will benefit Rivera Elementary School’s new library. Cost to enter is $7 or a donation of five children’s books. Advance tickets are $5. On-call tickets available by emailing service.apoahg@gmail.com.
Business Plan Design
