El Cap dinner
A fundraiser for the El Capitan High School baseball team is set to begin with a cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m. May 7, with a dinner and auctions to follow at 7 p.m., at the Pilkington residence, 1920 Canyon Drive in Merced. Hamburger night

Mother’s Day meal
St. Paul Lutheran Church Hmong Outreach Ministries is sponsoring a Mother’s Day dinner at 5 p.m. May 8 at the church, 2916 N. McKee Road in Merced. Chowchilla market
The Chowchilla Treasure Hunters Market is 8 a.m.-noon May 7 on Trinity Avenue between Second and Third streets. Sellers can rent an 18-foot-by-15-foot space for $25. Music fest
The Merced Youth Council is sponsoring a free music festival called Undivided Youth Fest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in Applegate Park’s MOAT, near O and 26th streets. The Atwater Women’s Club is planning its annual Connie Corvelo’s Famous Chicken Salad Luncheon from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the clubhouse, 1201 Grove Ave. in Atwater.
