Vaudeville

Jazz Day at UC
In Celebration of International Jazz Day 2016 features the Ernie Bucio Little Big Band at 7 p.m. Friday, April 29, at Lakireddy Auditorium, COB 102, UC Merced, 5200 N. Lake Road. Seating is limited. The show is free, but the campus charges $2 for parking. For more, email wavelength1111@aol.com.
Film festival
Merced College’s inaugural Film Festival is from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday in room Lesher 111 of the college, 3600 M St. Sponsored by the Merced College Film Club, admission is free. It features short films made by Merced College students and other shorts made by local filmmakers. At the end of the program, $700 in prizes will be awarded to the student winners. Season preview

Jazz Ensemble
The Merced College Jazz Ensemble plays at 7:30 p.m. May 6 at Merced College Theater, 3600 M St. Director Ken Taylor will be joined by guest vocalists Kandyce Drake and Mark Naylor.
