All-Merced Road Ride
The seventh annual All-Merced Road Ride for experienced cyclists is 9 a.m. Sunday. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at Kevin’s Bikes, 60 W. Olive Ave. Cyclists also can register at www.mercedbicyclecoalition.org. The ride features three distance options on routes that are local favorites. Helmets are required and anyone under 18 must ride with an adult or have adult-signed permission.
Behavioral health
The next Merced County Behavioral Health Board meeting is 3-5 p.m. Tuesday at the county building, 1137 B St., which is open to the public. For more information, call 209-381-6805.
Community yard sale
Gospel Defenders Christian Academy is hosting a large yard sale free for any participating neighbors, 7:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. May 6 and 7:30 a.m.-3 p.m. May 7 at Gospel Defenders Church, 2909 N. CASA volunteers
Court Appointed Special Advocates of Merced County will begin training a new group of volunteers May 9. Volunteers advocate for the best interests of children who, through no fault of their own, have been abused and neglected and need a consistent adult in their lives. ServSafe Workshop

Merced sewing
A Merced College needlecrafts and sewing class is set for 3:30-5:30 p.m. Fridays through May 27 at Merced College Educational Center Building 5, which is near G Street and Community College Drive. It’s a free course for older adults. For more information, call 209-381-6540.
MHS 1956 reunion

Animal carriers
New Beginnings of Merced is in need of medium- and large-sized carriers for animals they transport to no-kill rescues each month. Used carriers in usable condition that are appropriate for animals 40-70 pounds are acceptable as well as new carriers or monetary donations. Receipts can be provided for tax purposes.
