American Legion crab feed

An all-you-can-eat crab feed will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Post 83, 939 W. Main St. in Merced. The event benefits the American Legion’s youth baseball program and the Volunteers baseball team. Meal includes crab, pasta, salad, rolls and dessert. Wine will be available with dinner, and soft drinks, beer and cocktails are available for purchase at the bar. Tickets are $45 and are available from coaches, players, parents, at Post 83 and McNamara’s Sporting Goods in Merced. Tickets will not be sold at the door. There will be a raffle. Senior center social dance

The January Social Dance will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Merced Senior Community Center, 755 W. 15th St. Just Friends will be play waltz, swing, foxtrot, Latin and polka music. Doors open at 1 p.m. There’s a rumba lesson at 1:15 p.m. $8 per person; refreshments will be available. For more information, call (209) 723-0839.

Living with mental illness class

NAMI Merced County is offering “Peer-to-Peer,” a 10-week class for people who have or who are living with a mental illness. Learn about the illness and discover coping strategies, support and survival skills. The class is 6 to 8 p.m. Jan. 29. Buhach High crab feed

The Buhach High School Music Boosters Crab Feast is Jan. 31 at the Merced County Fairgrounds Pavilion Building. Social hour is 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Auction is 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. Dancing is 9 p.m. until midnight. Tickets are $45 per person or $320 for a table of eight. Super Bowl party

A Super Bowl party will be Feb. 1 at the American Legion, 939 W. Main St., Merced. It starts at 3 p.m. Finger foods, free raffle, drinks. Bring your best potluck food. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. Wear your team jersey and root for your team.

South Pacific dance lessons

The South Pacific Dance Company teaches traditional dance and music from the cultures of Hawaii and Tahiti. The school is enrolling for the spring semester, ages 4 through adult, beginners and advanced. Both men and women welcome. Classes are held at Creation Station, 2400 Martin Luther King Jr. Way. In addition, the Soul Power Dance Crew is enrolling for an eight-week session in hip-hop for ages 7 through teens. Livingston Lions Club collecting eyeglasses

Livingston Lions Club has five new collection points for used eyeglasses in Livingston: Livingston Rite Aid, Livingston Medical Center, True Value, Livingston Fitness and Liberty Market.
