Arts Wrap for May 20, 2016

Arts & Spirits

The Merced County Arts Council and Arbor Gallery plans Art & Spirits on the third Friday of each month. The next evening of wine and painting is 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, May 20. Kids classes

Concert band

‘Big Fish’

“Big Fish” continues at Playhouse Merced, 452 W. Main St. at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 20. Tickets are $10 for students, and $15-$22 general. They can be purchased by calling Playhouse Merced at 209-725-8587 or going to playhousemerced.com.

Opera at UC

This year’s UC Merced opera production, “W.O.O.S.H.! (Web of Opera Super Heroes),” plans a public performance – free of charge, with no tickets required – for 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, in the Lakireddy Auditorium at UC Merced, 5200 N. Lake Road. Mural walk

Mariposa Art Company will host a downtown mural walk followed by a free watercolor class from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, May 21. Music and dance
