Pasta fundraiser for Castle
The Castle Air Museum will have a pasta dinner fundraiser from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday at Atwater Community Center, 760 E. Bellevue Road. The cost is $10. Dine in an Italian atmosphere with the live music of Maxwell Norton’s Quartet, or pick up dinner for takeout. Covered California enrollment
Covered California open enrollment ends Feb. 15. Catholic Charities is having a special enrollment event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Certified enrollment counselor Sandra P. Thiruvalluvan and certified insurance agent Marion Mitchell will be working together to meet the needs of the Merced community. Call for appointments. Senior center social dance
The January social dance will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Merced Senior Community Center, 755 W. 15th St. Just Friends will play waltz, swing, foxtrot, Latin and polka music. Doors open at 1 p.m. There’s a rumba lesson at 1:15 p.m. Cost is $8 per person; refreshments will be available. For more information, call (209) 723-0839.
American Legion crab feed
There will be an all-you-can-eat crab feed from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Post 83, 939 W. Main St., Merced. The event benefits the American Legion’s youth baseball program and the Volunteers baseball team. Meal includes crab, pasta, salad, rolls and dessert. Wine will be available with dinner, and soft drinks, beer and cocktails are available for purchase at the bar. Tickets are $45 and are available from coaches, players, parents, at Post 83 and McNamara’s Sporting Goods in Merced. Tickets will not be sold at the door. There will be a raffle. FFA crab feed
The Merced High School FFA crab feed will be held Jan. 31 at the school gym. Doors open at 5 p.m., followed by a silent auction at 5:30 and dinner at 6. There will also be a dessert auction and a live auction. The event is the FFA chapter’s largest fundraiser. Proceeds are used for FFA trips, leadership conferences and supplies. Tickets are $45 each. Black tie gala
Classic Hollywood is the theme for the Providence Christian School black tie gala dinner and auction at 5 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Merced County Fairgrounds Pavillion. Tickets are $50 each or $400 for a table of eight. For tickets, call (209) 383-4727. Donations of auctions items can be dropped off at the school office at 2142 Yosemite Ave.
