Flapjack fundraiser
Santa Fe Pet Hospital plans a flapjack fundraiser 8-10 a.m. June 4 at Applebee’s, 1734 W. Olive Ave. in Merced. Tickets are $7.50 and can be purchased at Christina’s Fine Clothing, Valley Animal Hospital or Santa Fe Pet Hospital. Retired teachers
The California Retired Teachers’ Association plans a memorial and luncheon at 10 a.m. June 6 at the Fish and Game building at Lake Yosemite. The memorial honors retired teachers who have died during the year. The general meeting and luncheon will begin at 11 a.m. The event is open to anyone with an interest in education, and there is no cost.

Look Good Feel Better
Look Good Feel Better is a free two-hour workshop for women cancer patients experiencing appearance-related side effects from their treatment to be held on the second Monday of every month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mercy UC Davis Cancer Center, 3850 G St. in Merced. Habitat for Humanity of Merced County is looking for volunteers who would be interested in building homes. Building skills and construction experience would be helpful.
