Plant Bingo
Merced Garden Club meets for Plant Bingo at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Fish and Wildlife Building at Yosemite Lake, near the end of Lake Road. People interested in becoming members should attend. For more, call Patty at 209-383-6287.

The Merced College Retired Women’s Monthly Luncheon is 11:30 a.m. Thursday at La Hacienda 2, 3355 G St. in Merced. It’s a monthly luncheon. No RSVP required.
Pancake breakfast
Merced Elks Park plans a pancake breakfast 8-10:30 a.m. Sunday at the park, 3600 Wardrobe Ave. The menu includes pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, fruit, coffee and orange juice. Army’s birthday
Local veterans will celebrate the 241st birthday of the U.S. Army at 6 p.m. June 14 at the Merced Post 83 Lounge, 939 W. Main St. in Merced. The guest speaker is retired Lt. Col. Vets services

Guerrilla art

Secret War talk
The National Association for Uniformed Services will meet at 10 a.m. June 18 at the Castle Air Museum Banquet Room, 5050 Santa Fe Drive in Atwater. Family trees
Merced County Genealogical Society welcomes Kathy Burrow, a genealogy enthusiast assisting others with their family trees for more than 40 years, as a guest speaker this month. Her topic is “Family History For The Adopted Child” at 1 p.m. June 18 at the Merced County Library, 2100 O St. in Merced. The meetings are open to all; no membership required.
Sunday dance
