Legal services
Central California Legal Services staff would like to remind Merced County residents of the different services and legal advice provided: tenant rights and homeless issues; Social Security and SSI disability cases; senior citizen legal issues; public benefit issues such as food stamps, CalWORKs, unemployment, Medi-Cal and health care concerns; and other civil law matters. Play dates

A Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program presentation with Isabel Nuno of the Area Agency on Aging will be given at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pacifica Senior Living, 3420 R St. It will cover HICAP updates, billing issues and denials. Outdoor movie
The Merced Parks and Recreation Department plans a free showing of “Hotel Transylvania 2” at dusk Wednesday at Rahilly Park, 3400 Parsons Ave. Bring chairs, a blanket or something else to sit on. For more information, call 209-385-6232.
Breakfast in La Grange
La Grange Odd Fellows of LaFayette Lodge 65 serves breakfast the second Sunday of each month at the IOOF Hall, 30018 Yosemite Blvd., La Grange. The next one will be from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday. Biscuits and gravy, ham and cheese omelets, sausage and French toast cost $6 for adults; $3 for ages 7 to 12. Children 6 or younger eat free. The Merced College committee overseeing the search for its next college president plans public input meetings throughout July.
