Retired women

The monthly luncheon for the Merced College Retired Women is 11:30 a.m. Thursday at La Hacienda 2, 3355 G St. No RSVP is required for the no-host meal.

Free oil filter

The Merced County Regional Waste Management Authority offers a free oil filter exchange event throughout Merced County in which residents can take a used oil filter to any AutoZone or O’Reilly Auto Parts store in Merced County and receive a new filter for free on any Saturday or Sunday in July. Documentary

Craft fair

Due to popular demand, the La Grange Odd Fellows of Lafayette Historical Lodge No. 65 plans a second crafts fair, which will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the IOOF Hall, 30018 Yosemite Blvd. in La Grange. NAUS meets

The National Association for Uniformed Services will be meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at Castle Air Museum banquet room, 5050 Santa Fe Drive. The guest speaker will be Kimberly Sanchez, Merced County’s new veterans services officer. This is also an election meeting. Quilters meet

Gateway Quilters’ Guild meets at 7 p.m. on the third Monday of the month at the Merced Health Department, 260 E. 15th St. The “Christmas in July” meeting, when the group will be making Christmas ornaments for its tree at the Merced County Courthouse Museum in December. Summer camps

California State University, Stanislaus, is offering two summer camps on algebra and geometry, 9 a.m. to noon July 18 and 22 and July 25 and 29 at the 1 University Circle campus in Turlock. Sunday dance

Gospel concert

The next installment of the Julie-N-Friends gospel concert series is 6 p.m. July 31 at the Christian Life Center, 650 E. Olive Ave., Merced. The lineup includes the Evidence Quartet of Yorba Linda, Reliance of Fresno, Dennis Curtsinger of Visalia and Bridge of Grace of Merced. Admission is free, but an offering will be taken.
