Arts & Spirits

The Merced County Arts Council and Arbor Gallery plans Art & Spirits on the third Friday of each month. The next evening of wine and painting is 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday, July 15. 5th Dimension

‘Star Wars’

The Merced Parks and Recreation Department will show “Star Wars” at dusk July 22 at the Youth Sports Complex in the 1800 block of Wadrobe Avenue in Merced. The event is free. Staffers recommend viewers bring something to sit on. Merced city firefighters on July 8 cooked about 250 hot dogs for moviegoers and plan to return July 22. Call 209-385-6232.

Fair artwork

The third annual Merced County Fair arts show will open with a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. July 28 at the Merced Multicultural Arts Center, 645 W. Main St., Merced. The free show features artwork from June’s fair exhibits. Go to www.artsmerced.org or call 209-388-1090.

Fashion show

LB concerts

The Los Banos Arts Council’s concert series begins Sept. 17 with the Sun Kings at the Ted Falasco Arts Center, 1105 Fifth St., Los Banos. Art gallery
