Merced Garden Club

The Merced Garden Club will hold its monthly meeting at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Fish and Game Building at Lake Yosemite. The topic for discussion will be “Wreaths and Bow, Valentines.” Those interested in gardening and joining the club are encouraged to attend. Drivers sought to help veterans

Disabled American Veterans is looking for men and women to be volunteer drivers for veterans. Volunteering ensures that even those veterans living far from Veterans Affairs hospitals can make their appointments and not go without the treatment they need. DAV provides van and fuel. Downtown art exhibit

Mariposa Art Company will host “Love Reigns,” an art exhibition by Eddie and Jes Garcia. Opening night is Saturday from 7 p.m. until close, 1637 M St., Merced. Free. Lobster Fest

Atwater Rotary’s 11th annual Lobster Fest is Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Atwater APC Hall, Third and Elm Streets. Tickets are $50 and must be purchased in advance. The door prize is $1,000 in cash. Christian school black tie gala

“Classic Hollywood” is the theme for the Providence Christian School black tie gala dinner and auction at 5 p.m. Feb. 21 at the Merced County Fairgrounds Pavillion. Tickets are $50 each or $400 for a table of eight. For tickets, call (209) 383-4727. Donations of auctions items can be dropped off at the school office at 2142 Yosemite Ave., Merced.

Thinkers group to meet
