Street Faire

The Merced Downtown Street Faire continues 5-10 p.m. Thursday on Main Street between K and M streets. Food, games, shopping and other entertainment are planned.

Color run

A color run is planned from 8 a.m. to noon Sept. 10 at Pacheco High School in front of Brett Lee gym, 200 Ward Road. It’s a 5k run or walk with dye stations and water stations. Sign up early for $25 (includes T-shirt and a dye pack); late registration is $30 with no shirt or pack. Additional packs are $5. For more, call 209-827-4506.

Breakfast in La Grange

The Odd Fellows of Lafayette Historical Lodge #65 will serve their monthly breakfast 8-11 a.m. Sept. 11 at IOOF Hall, on the main street of La Grange, Highway 132 just east of Highway 59. They’ll serve biscuits and gravy, ham and cheese omelets, sausage and French toast. Cost is $6 for adults; children 7 to 12 are $3 each, 6 and younger eat free. LB Arts meeting

Volunteers wanted

Are you looking to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for the LGBTQ+ community and have extra time on your hands? The Merced LGBT Community Center is looking for volunteers. Legal services

Central California Legal Services staff would like to remind Merced County residents of the different services and legal advice provided: tenant rights and homeless issues; Social Security and SSI disability cases; senior citizen legal issues; public benefit issues such as food stamps, CalWorks, unemployment, Medi-Cal and health care concerns; and other civil law matters. Free venue

The Pacheco Village and Pacheco Court Apartments offers free venue rentals. There is meeting space up to 60 people capacity and community rooms with kitchens available for local organizations, churches and nonprofit agencies to use for meetings and activities.
