Do you have an outfit that is your go-to for almost any occasion? An outfit that you can dress-up or dress-down, make it appropriate for work or wear for a day of shopping? I sure do, and that outfit would be this one.
It is no secret by now that I have become quite obsessed with colored pants. I used to be hesitant to wear them because I didn’t think they would work for me, but little did I know that they would go with everything.
I found these pants at the J. Crew Factory store in Livermore a few months ago. They are stretchy and comfortable, and the color is so versatile.
I just can’t help but stop at the outlets almost every time I drive by. I seem to always find something at J. Crew or Banana Republic. It doesn’t help that the prices are so much cheaper at factory stores. If you haven’t been there before, I highly recommend you make the drive.
Now back to the outfit. I found these tan booties a few months ago at TJ Maxx. They have tassels on the sides, which make them even more showy. I love that they give my outfits something extra just with that small detail.
I added this very colorful scarf to tie in the maroon pants to the beige top. I lucked out because the scarf is the same maroon color as my pants. I always try to tie all the colors together and was thrilled that this scarf helped me do just that.
I added my favorite Hayden-Harnett bag to top it off. I have been using this bag like crazy. I go through phases, I either must have a big bag filled to the max or I only want to carry three things and will take a smaller purse. I guess it’s just the nature of the beast. Surely I can’t be the only woman who goes through this.
I could very easily take this outfit and throw a heavy coat over it to make it appropriate for winter. I guess that is one of the nice things about living in the Valley: We rarely get super cold weather so I can wear this outfit into the middle of winter. Well, maybe not if El Niño hits. When that happens I’m sure I’ll be posting tons of outfits on my blog that go with rain boots.
Well, it is officially the time of year for me to clean out my closet and bring warmer clothes to the front. I was not blessed with the gift of being a good closet organizer, so this time of year always gets me flustered. However, with the weather change, I am excited to pull out outfits and pieces from last winter that I forgot I own. Wish me luck! Maybe you’ve been inspired to clean out your closet and get rid of that sweater you’ve been hoarding for five years. I’m not talking from experience or anything.
Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!
