Baby who fell from bleachers during Atwater graduation expected to recover

An 11-month-old girl broke her arm and suffered several cuts after falling from the top of the bleachers at Atwater High School during Thursday’s graduation ceremony, police reported.

Several officers and “good Samaritans” rushed to help the girl, who was taken by ambulance to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera County. She was expected to recover from her injuries, police said.
