One man hospitalized in Merced motorcycle crash
One man was hospitalized Friday morning for injuries suffered in a crash involving a motorcycle at a busy Merced intersection.
The crash occurred just after 8 a.m. at the intersection of Olive Avenue and G Street, one of Merced’s busiest traffic areas.
At least one motorcycle and a white pickup truck were involved in the collision.
Merced police, Riggs Ambulance and firefighters responded to the scene. One man was flown to a Modesto hospital for his injuries.
Traffic remained snarled for at least 30 minutes after the crash until a tow truck arrived to remove the tangled motorcycle.
Few details were immediately available. The collision remains under investigation.
