Two men arrested after being pulled over and searched, police say
Two gang members were arrested during a traffic stop on Sacramento Drive, Merced Police Department officials reported.
At around 3:19 p.m. on Friday, Gang Violence Suppression Unit officers searched the passenger in the vehicle, Lai Saetern, and found a handgun and ammunition, according to police.
Saetern, 27, was arrested for possession of a firearm and gang enhancements, police said, and booked into Merced County Jail. The driver, Cheng Saefong, 36, was also booked and charged with gang enhancements, police said.
