Easter activities flood Merced area with fun and faith

Easter was on display last weekend in Merced and the rest of the county. From observances of religious faith on Good Friday and Easter Sunday to the annual Easter egg hunt at Applegate Park and other activities of individual families, people were busy celebrating Easter in many different ways. Special events, religious re-enactments, church services and family gatherings – complete with Easter eggs hunts and barbecue dinners – were all part of Easter weekend in Merced. And those activities could be found going on just about anywhere in the county, Valley, state and nation. It was a time for faith and fun, two things in ample supply throughout Merced.
