Man injured in crash in central Merced
A man was taken away in an ambulance Tuesday afternoon after a two-car collision in central Merced, police said.
Names of the people involved in the crash were not immediately available.
Police said the driver of a Volkswagen Beetle appeared to have run a red light after 2 p.m. at the intersection of 21st Street and Glen Avenue in Merced.
The Volkswagen crashed into the side of a Toyota Rav 4.
The driver of the Volkswagen was taken to an area hospital with possible head or face injuries, officers said.
