Water main break on M Street closes road

The southbound lanes of M Street at west Yosemite Avenue were temporarily closed Wednesday because of a water main break. The break happened about 10 a.m. after a contractor working on the roadway hit a valve on the water main. Water service was shut off in the immediate area, but was later restored.
