Three Turlock men have been arrested in connection with recent armed robberies at pharmacies in Merced County, deputies with the Sheriff’s Department reported.

Detectives on Friday arrested Richard A. Adams, 42; Hilberto A. Adams, 24; and Orlando M. Brasil, 29, in connection with at least two robberies, deputies said in a news release.

It was unclear Sunday if Richard A. Adams and Hilberto A. Adams were related.

Investigators said the men are suspects in the May 20 robbery at San Joaquin Drug on State Route 140 in Planada.

Deputies said at least one man was armed when two entered the drug store and took an undisclosed number of prescription drugs. A third waited outside in a getaway vehicle, deputies said.

Details of another robbery, in Delhi, including the date of the incident, were not available.

Detectives conducted surveillance at locations in Turlock during the investigation. Deputies also served search warrants in the 500 block of Florence Street and the 1300 block of Berry Drive in Turlock, authorities said.

Investigators did not comment on the results of those searches.

All three suspects remain in custody Sunday at the John Latorraca Correctional Facility, according to booking records.

Sgt. Delray Shelton said the case remains under investigation.
