UC President Napolitano spending the day in Merced

Janet Napolitano, the University of California president, will visit Golden Valley High School today to speak to students and will spend the afternoon at UC Merced.

Napolitano is scheduled to speak to Golden Valley students beginning at 11 a.m. about considering a University of California for higher education, financial aid and community college options, according to the press secretary for the University of California Office of the President.

Afterward, she will head to UC Merced for multiple meetings regarding sustainability, carbon neutrality and the Global Food Initiative.
