Hundreds of superheroes, movie characters, astronauts, ghosts and witches paraded the streets of Los Banos on Thursday as three schools took part in two Halloween-themed parades.

Students from Westside Union Elementary School and Los Banos Elementary School marched through downtown Los Banos escorted by police officers, showing off their costumes a day ahead of Halloween.

Miano Elementary School had its own parade around the streets of its East B Street campus in town.

The annual parades celebrating Halloween date back many years, and students look forward each season to showing off their costumes in the streets of Los Banos.
