Courthouse Museum tree display nearing its end

Only four dates remain for the public to view the display of community Christmas trees at the Merced County Courthouse Museum.

Rooms of the historic building are filled with trees adorned by museum staff and members of local organizations. When the display began in 1984, only a few trees were displayed in the Recorder’s Office; now, nearly 70 decorated trees are on view, according to the Merced County Historical Society.

The Christmas tree exhibit is free and can be seen for four more days during the museum’s holiday hours of 1 to 4 p.m.: Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday and Dec. 30.

For more information, please contact the museum office at 209-723-2401.
