Registration still open for Merced College spring courses

Students hoping to attend Merced College in Merced or Los Banos still have time to register for the spring semester, which begins Jan. 19.

Would-be students must submit an application, attend an orientation session and go through an assessment process that helps counselors place students in suitable classes, according to a statement from the college.

“Counselors provide valuable assistance to students with creating their own individual educational plan. Once these steps are completed, students can then sign up for classes,” Robin Shepard, director of institutional advancement, said in a statement.

Tuition is $46 per unit. Students may apply for a waiver of their fees and for financial aid. Financial aid offices are located at both the Merced and Los Banos campuses.

Students who wish to enroll at the Merced campus can begin the process by calling 209-384-6000. Those wanting to attend classes in Los Banos should call 209-826-3495.
