Kite fans gather for Livingston festival
Families enjoyed sunshine, crafts, folkloric dance and, of course, kites at the fifth annual Livingston Kite Festival on Saturday.
The event, presented by the Knights of Columbus, drew kite lovers of all ages to Livingston Middle School. While the spring sunshine made for an enjoyable day out, kite-fliers said wind conditions weren’t so great.
Bernardo Plasencia worked with his 5-year-old son, Isaiah, to try to get their kite airborne.
“Everything is OK besides the wind,” Plasencia said. “Hopefully it picks up later on.”
