Merced police arrest felon with gun
Merced police jailed a convicted felon Friday after the man was found with a gun and ammunition, officers reported.
The Merced Police Department’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit served a search warrant in the 2600 block of Polaris Court. Finias Garcia, 41, who lived at the home, was found with a .38-caliber handgun and ammunition, police said in a news release.
Garcia was booked into the Merced County Jail on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a gun and ammunition, and child endangerment.
Garcia was released the next day after posting a $100,000 bond, according to booking records.
