Five people were arrested at an Atwater residence on Friday morning after officers arrived to serve warrants on two women living there, police said.

Two officers and a sergeant went to 2789 Hillcrest St. shortly before 8 a.m. to serve the warrants and to respond to complaints about alleged drug activity at the home, according to a statement released Friday.

The officers served warrants on Tara Nicole Baker, 29, and Alexandria Lynn Rayburn, 19, both of Atwater.

Baker was wanted on a misdemeanor warrant issued in San Francisco and Rayburn was warranted on a local felony warrant, police said. Both women were arrested and booked into the Merced County Jail.

Rayburn, who faces charges of battery, probation violation and obstructing an officer, was being held in lieu of $10,000 bond on Friday.

Baker, whose charges include suspected driving under the influence and driving with a suspended or revoked license, was held in lieu of $20,000 bond.

While at the home, officers contacted three other subjects who all had misdemeanor warrants. The three were all taken into custody and then released on signed promises to appear.

The three were identified as Crystal Geer, 34; Trinity Geer, 33, of Los Banos; and Max Periera, 28.
