Storm drain work begins on F Street, Mercey Springs Road work continues

Residents can expect storm drain construction to start Monday on F Street.

The city of Los Banos hired local excavating contractor McElvany Inc. to replace a storm drain line on F Street between Third and Fifth streets, according to a news release.

Closures of local streets will occur as needed. Lane shifts and detours will be installed to minimize inconvenience for motorists and pedestrians.

The construction is planned to start Monday and end Oct. 19, barring unforeseen delays. Work will be conducted from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
