Spring planting in full swing
A report on crop conditions for Merced County for the week ending April 17 has been released by the Merced County Agricultural Commissioner’s office.
The oat harvest continues, along with the first cutting of alfalfa. Corn and cotton continue to be planted.
Walnut blight spraying continues. Outdoor nursery stock field fumigations continue.
Sweet potato field fumigations continue and sweet potato planting has begun. Tomato planting continues. Bell pepper planting has begun.
Supplemental livestock feeding continues. Rangeland conditions are good.
