Merced Gardens offers free tree workshop

Merced Gardens is hosting a free tree workshop featuring James Shao of the LE Cooke Company. The seminar will teach about the benefits of bare root trees, how to select the best variety of fruit tree, and includes a demonstration on pruning fruit trees to maximize fruit yield.

The workshop is scheduled for Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Merced Gardens is located at 1007 Tahoe Street in North Merced near Highway 59.
