Atwater's Dante Migliazzo re-elected to executive committee of state dairy group
Dairy producer Dante Migliazzo has been re-elected to serve as member-at-large on the executive committee of the California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB), the promotional arm of the state's dairy farmers.
Migliazzo milks 750 registered Holsteins with his brother Dino at the 250-acre Merced Ranch in Atwater which his parents Larry and Irene Migliazzo started in 1957.
He’s a member of a variety of industry groups, including the Italo American Lodge, YMI and the local, state and national Holstein Associations.
California is the nation’s leading milk producer and also produces more butter, ice cream, yogurt and nonfat dry milk than any other state. The state is the second-largest producer of cheese, according to a news release from the advisory board.
CMAB), part of the California Department of Food and Agriculture, is funded by the state’s 1,620 dairy families.
