Merced-area home sales: Real estate prices in Merced the week of Aug. 20

The median price per square foot for a home in Merced in the past week was $225, which is the lowest in the county. That’s $27 less than the Merced County median.

The most expensive community in Merced County is Turlock area, where the median price per square foot in the past week was $290.

Outside of Merced, the best deal can be found in Los Banos, Dos Palos, Gustine, where the median price per square foot of a home sold is $253.

In the past week, a 1,265-square-foot home on Hansen Avenue in Merced sold for $285,000.
