Video shows upset 49ers fan fling burrito at restaurant workers on Super Bowl Sunday
San Francisco police are looking for a man accused of aggravated assault after he was caught on video throwing a burrito and other items at restaurant staff on Super Bowl Sunday.
Police said the suspect ordered food on Feb. 2 at Gordo Taqueria and appeared “verbally abusive” to restaurant workers, according to a police news release. The man was given food but he “did not appear satisfied with the staff’s gesture.”
The man was caught on video flinging his burrito, cell phone, and a napkin dispenser at workers, according to the release. Police said he broke electronic counter equipment and fled the scene.
Police describe the man as a “Latin male” who is about 5 feet, 9 inches, weighs approximately 180 pounds and between 45 and 50 years old.
He was wearing jeans and a T-shirt with a “SF” logo on the front and “BOSA 97” on the back, a reference to the 49ers’ Nick Bosa, who was named the Rookie of the Year by the Professional Football Writers of America.
Police have asked anyone with more information on the man to contact the Station Investigation Team at 415-666-8083 or Officer Sevilla at 415-666-8004.
