See it: Kevin Durant’s home with amazing views of San Francisco Bay listed at $6 million

The Oakland mansion where former Golden State Warriors MVP Kevin Durant lived—with slam-dunk views of San Francisco Bay, Mount Tamalpais and the Golden Gate Bridge—is available for around $6 million.

The seven-bedroom, eight-bath home spans 9,084 square-feet of living space with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer western-facing views of the entire Bay Area.

There is an in-home theater, a dramatic spiral staircase, an atrium, a private basketball half-court and a circular driveway.

The home, designed by Michael Burgess ,was built in 2005. The property features two distinct apartments, each with its own ensuite bathroom and outdoor access.

The residence has served as a venue for celebrations, corporate events, conferences and executive retreats for well-known Bay Area tech companies such as Apple, Google and Facebook, as well as luxury brands like Mercedes Benz, Lexus and Hennessey.

The design blends the interior with the exterior.

“The hilltop residence in the exclusive Ridgemont neighborhood of Redwood Heights is entered custom metal gates and is surrounded by lush, well-tended landscaping and decorative ornamental trees that provide year-round seasonal color,” listing agent Andrea Gordon of Compass wrote in the listing.

Durant, who was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in 2019 after an Achilles injury, spent three seasons with the Warriors. During that time, he won two NBA championships and was named NBA Finals MVP twice.

During his stint in Oakland, he rented the home from the current sellers, according to a Compass representative.

The circular driveway leads to a commanding entryway, an extended portico with a sparkling water feature, next to a three-car garage with overflow parking.

The staircase leads to the upper and lower levels, and balconies extend over the enormous open floor plan. Viewable from the kitchen, dining and living rooms, a great room offers ample space for entertaining gatherings of all sizes. An outdoor patio covers the home’s rear elevation, while the upstairs bedrooms feature private lanais.

Both lower-level apartments—a studio and a two-bed, two-bath unit—have direct outdoor access to a large, level infinity-edge lawn with sweeping views.

The home just became available off-market for the exact price of $5,998,888.

Durant videotaped his first YouTube livestream from the house in 2017, showing off the pad, the basketball court, his personal chef and dog.
