Dad fatally shot inside car — and his 6-year-old was with him, California cops say
A 47-year-old man was shot inside a car while he was with his 6-year-old son, California police said.
The shooting occurred on Oct. 28 around 2:23 p.m., Stockton Police Department said.
The man was taken to a hospital where he died, police said. His son was uninjured.
The man’s identity has not been released.
The investigation is ongoing. Police said there isn’t a suspect or a known motive for the shooting.
“Any time you have a shooting at 2:30 in downtown Stockton at a busy intersection, that’s very brazen,” Officer Joe Silva, spokesperson for Stockton police told KCRA-TV. “That is concerning to us.”
