Update: Heather Garcia, a 29-year-old mother of five, died after falling from the party bus. She was celebrating her upcoming 30th birthday, her family says.

An early-morning fall from a party bus on a Hollywood highway killed a 29-year-old woman, California Highway Patrol officers told news sources.

The woman was hit by another vehicle at 2:55 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, on northbound Highway 101, officers told KABC. It’s not clear how she fell out of the party bus.

The other driver stopped and cooperated with police, KNBC reported.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, KCBS reported. Authorities have not released her name.

CHP officers ask that anyone with information on the incident call 323-343-0732.
