Soccer coach sexually assaults 14-year-old girl he trained for years, CA cops say
A California soccer coach was charged with numerous counts of sexual assault on a minor after he was found with a 14-year-old.
At about 4 a.m. on March 17, Jonathan Jeremy Ledesma, 40, from Highland, was in the backseat of his car with a 14-year-old girl, Redlands Police Department said in a news release.
Ledesma told officers that she was his girlfriend.
Police said they found “evidence of sex acts” inside the car and located text messages of “sexual nature” between the coach and the teen.
The girl told police that since she turned 14, he performed sex acts with the girl “multiple times” in the coach’s car.
Police said Ledesma met the girl when he started coaching her when she was 9 through the Redlands American Youth Soccer Organization.
“It is believed there could be other victims,” police said in the release.
Ledesma is being held without bail at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino.
Redlands is about 62 miles east of Los Angeles.
