Someone has a California Lottery scratcher ticket worth a $5 million grand prize, lottery officials reported.

The winning ticket was sold at Georgetown Gas & Go in Georgetown, the California Lottery said in a Thursday, May 15, news release.

Georgetown, a community in the El Dorado County foothills, is about a 50-mile drive northeast from Sacramento.

“Most of our big winners have been, like, $1,000,” Alissa Cimino, owner of Georgetown Gas & Go, told lottery officials. “This is the biggest winner ever for our town.”

The lottery did not reveal what game the player won for security and vetting purposes.

The winner will have to go through the standard claim process for big prizes, which will take about six to eight weeks after they come forward, lottery officials said.

Cimino told lottery officials that she plans to share the store’s $25,000 bonus for selling the ticket with employees.
