SuperLotto Plus player wins $30 million lottery jackpot in California

A SuperLotto Plus player in California has come forward with the winning ticket for a $30 million jackpot from March, lottery officials say.

The ticket matched the five winning numbers and the mega number in the March 5 drawing, the California Lottery said in a June 26 news release.

Winner Andrea Willer elected to take the cash option of more than $14 million, less federal taxes, lottery officials said.

The lucky ticket was sold at a 76 gas station along Highway 101 in Sonoma County in the San Francisco Bay Area, the lottery said.

The winning numbers were 3, 13, 17, 23 and 35, with a mega number of 24, officials said.

The next SuperLotto Plus drawing on Saturday, June 28, has an estimated $20 million jackpot, with a cash value of about $9 million.

What to know about SuperLotto Plus

To score a jackpot in the SuperLotto Plus, a player must match all five numbers and the mega number.

The odds of scoring the jackpot prize are 1 in 41,416,353.

Tickets can be bought for $1 on the day of the drawing.

Drawings take place Saturdays and Wednesdays after the draw entry closes at 7:45 p.m.
