Motorcyclist killed in Clovis crash identified as Fresno man, 35

Authorities have identified the motorcycle rider killed in a single-vehicle crash in Clovis on Friday night.

The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as James McCall, 35, of Fresno.

Ty Wood, spokesperson for the Clovis Police Department, said officers responded to a crash at Ashlan and Thompson avenues around 11 p.m. Friday.

Investigation suggests McCall hit an object on or near the sidewalk, Wood said.

McCall — who was riding a Honda Grom, a compact, street-legal motorcycle — died at the scene.

Authorities are investigating whether alcohol or drug impairment was a factor in the crash.
