Player lands ‘exciting’ jackpot on 5-cent slot machine at Sacramento-area casino

A gambler at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino near Sacramento hit a $116,665 progressive jackpot on a “Dragon Link Happy & Prosperous” split machine, casino officials reported.

The Yuba City player bet $12.50 on the 5-cent machine, set for 50-cent denomination bets.

“We are thrilled to congratulate a local winner on their exciting jackpot,” said Mark Birtha, president of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain. “An exciting way for them to start the week!”

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at Fire Mountain is at 3317 Forty Mile Road in Wheatland, about 35 miles north of downtown Sacramento.
