An exhibit celebrating the centennial anniversaries of Gustine and the El Nido Schoolhouse will open July 30 at the Merced County Courthouse Museum.

The exhibits will feature historic photos, artifacts, personal diaries and family stories. It is free and will run through Sept. 27.

The El Nido Schoolhouse was completed in 1915 and served the unincorporated community for a century, according to the museum. This exhibit will primarily feature family stories.

Gustine was incorporated Nov. 11, 1915, and continues to be a hub for dairies in the county. Gustine historian and author Pat Snoke will be on hand to autograph “Gustine: Gem of the Valley,” which was published in 1990. The exhibit on Gustine will be organized chronologically with a timeline of major events.
