Man killed in small plane crash near Woodlake identified
Authorities have identified the person killed after a small plane crashed in Tulare County on Saturday morning.
Michael Thomas Hill, 74, was killed in the crash, said Tulare County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Ashley Ritchie Schwarm. He was the pilot.
Hill is from Apple Valley, just outside Victorville.
The crash happened around 11 a.m. on Saturday near Road 204 and Avenue 336 in Woodlake.
The National Transportation Safety Board said on social media that it’s investigating the crash that authorities said involved a Mooney M20J airplane.
No one else was injured in the crash.
