Driver sought in hit-and-run crash in Hilmar
Investigators are asking for the public’s help to identify the driver of a white Ford sedan that struck a parked vehicle and left the scene.
A 62-year-old Turlock woman was getting into her vehicle on July 16 on American Avenue in Hilmar when the passenger-side mirror of the Ford Taurus struck the woman.
The victim, Donna Beserra, suffered an arm injury, according to the CHP.
Officers said the unidentified driver stopped briefly following the collision but got back into his vehicle and drove away.
He was described as a Latino male believed to be in his early 20s, about 5-foot-8, with black hair.
His vehicle should have a missing or damaged passenger-side mirror.
