Database: See AP exam scores for every school
California students annually take more than 200,000 Advanced Placement exams. Last year, students did well enough on 58.3 percent of those tests to earn college credit, up from 56.5 percent the year before, new state data show.
AP exams give bright high school students the chance to earn college credit. They tests are scored from 1 (worst) to 5 (best). A minimum score of 3 is generally required to earn college credit.
