‘Into the Woods’
Playhouse Merced’s production of “Into the Woods” continues through Sunday. ‘Comedy All-Stars’
Percio Productions will present “Comedy All-Stars” on Friday at the Merced Theatre, 301 W. Main St. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Scheduled entertainers include Alex Ortiz, Jay Lamont, Jeff Burghart and Alex Ortiz. Tickets are $20-$25. Gallery seeks exhibitions
The Merced College Art Gallery is considering proposals for solo and group exhibits for the coming fall and spring semesters. The gallery coordinator and Merced College art faculty schedule six exhibits for the academic year. Portfolios need to be mailed or delivered to the gallery for review. Please include 20 digital images of artwork, an artist bio and an artist statement.

Exhibits at the Arts Center
The Merced Multicultural Arts Center, 645 W. Main St., has opened an exhibit titled “Emergency/Emergence: Art After War.” Curated by Eli-Jelly Schapiro, it features the work of artists Aaron Hughes, Ehren Tool, Mark Pinto and Drew Cameron, who are all Iraq War veterans. For more information, visit

Exhibition opening
Merced College Art Gallery will present an exhibition of painting and print, by artist Arnold Anthony Orosco from March 23 to April 16. An art gallery reception for the artist will be 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. March 25. Orozco is a native of Southern California whose work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions throughout the country. The public is welcome to meet the artist and visit the gallery. Visits to the art gallery are free, and parking is enforced. Merced College is located at 3600 M St.
Merced Camera Club
The Merced Camera Club welcomes all who are interested in photography to its meetings at 6:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at Merced County Farm Bureau, 646 S. Highway 59. Call (209) 382-0222 or (209) 761-0260.
Events at Kewl Cats
