Merced’s R Street to see intermittent closures

Northbound R Street between 18th and 19th streets will be closed from 1 to 4 p.m. today, according to the city of Merced Engineering Department.

The work is part of about $1.8 million in street upgrades is expected to continue on M and R streets in Merced until about mid-July.

The work on R Street also includes the replacement of a water main.
